A Set of Twelve Irish Regency Mahogany Armchairs

The reeded top rails above a shaped middle splat with a central bulls eye,

flanked by reeded arms, supported by lions paw uprights, resting on turned and spiral twisted legs

and a reeded frieze.

Probably made by Mack Williams & Gibton, Dublin.

The superbly carved back with c scrolls, acanthus leaves and vines on a punched background,

with acanthus carved arms, above a frieze rail with a central satire mask, resting on cabriole legs

with ball and claw feet.
